Autumn is finally here - one of the best times to enjoy the great outdoors in the Great Lake TaupÅ region. 'You can't put a price on perfection' autumn campaign will highlight just that – the region’s wonderful natural assets.
There will be a special focus on the southern end of the Lake, featuring natural gems like the World Heritage Listed Tongariro National Park, the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, trout fishing and the excellent hiking and mountain biking trails.
Billboards, radio and online advertising will be visible to visitors within a 2 hour radius of the Great Lake Taupo district. The campaign, in partnership with the Department of Conservation, saw TV and radio presenter Marcus Lush completing the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and sharing his message of conservation with his fan base.

Used as a scene in Peter Jackson’s latest movie The Hobbit, the Aratiatia Rapids fills a dry gorge into a magnificent waterfall several times a day when the Waikato River dam gates open.
