The summer season at Whakapapa generally runs from mid December to the end of April, and there is plenty to do on the mountain!

Enjoy a relaxed scenic chairlift ride over Mt Ruapehu's striking volcanic terrain to 1,800 metres above sea level. Once there, enjoy a light meal and cold refreshments at the legendary Schuss Haus Corona Bar while taking in the breathtaking views of the dual World Heritage Tongariro National Park. It's a leisurely ride suitable for all ages.

The lifts are open from 9am to 4pm daily (except Christmas Day), with the last ride up leaving at 3.30pm. Find out more and book your tickets at
