Mount Ruapehu - Summer at Whakapapa
The summer season at Whakapapa generally runs from mid December to the end of April, and there is plenty to do on the mountain!
Take a scenic chairlift ride

Enjoy a relaxed scenic chairlift ride over Mt Ruapehu's striking volcanic terrain to 1,800 metres above sea level. Once there, enjoy a light meal and cold refreshments at the legendary Schuss Haus Corona Bar while taking in the breathtaking views of the dual World Heritage Tongariro National Park. It's a leisurely ride suitable for all ages.
