Taupo DeBretts

Taupo DeBretts is a favourite with both adults and kids. You’ll be spoilt for choice with pools, playgrounds and hydroslides. As well as the main pools (complete with waterfall and bubbling hydrotherapy spots) they also offer 12 private mineral pools. Wairakei Terraces

Set in beautiful native bush, soak up the peace and quiet at the adults-only Wairakei Terraces Hot Pools. The waters and clays of Wairakei were highly valued by Maori for their healing powers and therapeutic benefits. Visitors can now bathe in a series of hot thermal pools rich in minerals. AC Baths

AC Baths is an all-weather, family-friendly, thermally heated pool complex that offers entertainment for visitors and the community. The state of the art facilities include a large outdoor leisure pool with two toddler areas, two 25-metre lane pools, an indoor learn-to-swim pool, two hydroslides, a tarzan swing, four private thermal mineral pools, a sauna and a café. Tokaanu Thermal Pools

Tokaanu Thermal Walk and Tokaanu Thermal Pools at the southern end of the lake – a 15 to 20 minute geothermal bush walk, and a great swimming spot for the whole family. The private, natural mineral pools, which range in temperature from 39˚C to 41˚C, are recommended before enjoying the large public pool that is heated with fresh chlorinated water to around 36 to 38 degrees celsius.While you are with us, why not explore the Tokaanu Thermal Walk.

Spa Thermal Park

Soak your worries away at the natural geothermal hot springs of Otumuheke Stream in Taupo’s Spa Park. This free hot spot is popular with both locals and visitors. Have a gentle massage under the waterfall or soak in the shallow pools. The level and temperature of the springs vary depending on the rainfall, season and the level of the river. Lake Taupo

Lake Taupo was formed by the most violent eruption history has ever recorded. The crater left by the eruption filled with clean, fresh water from the mountains of the Tongairro National Park. The lake remains volcanically active, something you'll notice as you swim through pockets of much warmer water, heated by thermal activity in the lake's depths.
