9.  What can we do in the rain?

Check out our rainy day activities page.

10.  Where can I swim in hot water? Where is the hot water stream/beach?

There are plenty of hot pools in the region to be enjoyed. In Taupo you'll find Taupo DeBretts, Wairakei Terraces and AC BathsTokaanu Thermal Pools and Genesis Turangi Aquatic Centre in Turangi and Mangakino Community Pool in Mangakino (closed in the winter months after Easter).

The free hot pools are located at Spa Park. Follow Spa Road for approximately 3km then turn left onto County Avenue. There is a carpark at the end of this road. From there you will walk across a large field. This stream flows under a walk bridge out into the Waikato River. There are also free hot spots along Lake Taupo on Lake Terrace. Look for the steam rising from the waters or ask a friendly local.

11. Where can I book a Taupo skydive and who is the cheapest?

The skydiving companies in Taupo are very comparable in price. Taupo Tandem Skydiving and Skydive Taupo both leave from the Taupo Airport therefore the views are the same. Please contact the Taupo i-SITE for further information and bookings.
