Flights to Great Lake Taupo
Air New Zealand and Sounds Air operate flights to and from the Taupo Airport, situated just eight kilometres from the Taupo town centre. With hardly any traffic from the airport to town, you’ll be at your destination in a jiffy!

Auckland to Taupo
Air New Zealand operates daily flights between Auckland and Taupo using a 19 seater Beech 1900D and a 50 seater Q300 aircraft.
Wellington to Taupo
Marlborough-based air operator Sounds Air, provide at least three return flights on each weekday and two return flights on Saturdays and Sundays.
The 45-minute flights operates on a nine-seater Pilatus PC12 – a single-engine, turboprop plane widely used in Australia and the United States and manufactured in Switzerland. Seats are offered at a fixed price of $219 per flight regardless of when booked. Concessions for 10 flights at $209 per seat are also available.

Taupo Airport has a public car park adjacent to the terminal building. All parking is free of charge. While secure parking is not currently available, security gates on Anzac Drive are closed at night.
A shuttle service meets each scheduled flight and operates a door to door service. Taupo Airport's comfortable, spacious shuttles seat up to 9 occupants.

Located in the airport terminal, the airport-cafe has a variety of food & beverage choices to temp your taste buds. Enjoy excellent viewing of aircraft departing & arriving. The Tarmac cafe can cater from individuals to large groups with scrumptious food, drinks and friendly service.
