Jono and Ben to MC Great Lake Taupo Spark Stella Awards 27/07/2016

Comedy duo Jono and Ben have been officially announced as the MCs for the 2016 Spark Stella Awards in Great Lake Taupo.

After gracing the shores of Lake Taupo last year as part of their Castle Crusade (during which they ‘made history’ by being the first people to ‘sail’ a bouncy castle across Lake Taupo, NZ’s largest lake), the celebrity ‘couple’ will return to the region next month to speak and present the 13 awards that are up for grabs in the 2016 Spark Stella Awards.

This year’s awards evening will be held in the Great Lake Centre on Friday August 26th. Not only is this evening important for publicly recognising those businesses and individuals who have been selected as standout providers of customer experience in the Great Lake Taupo community, but the night is also a social highlight for many. The event provides an opportunity for people to get dressed up, eat great food, listen to good music, dance, and now, with the announcement of Jono and Ben as the MCs, attendees will also enjoy a touch of comedy as the pair are sure to put their own spin on the ceremony.

“The awards programme recognises those businesses that are delivering a customer experience at the highest level. We wanted to follow through on delivering a top customer experience at the awards gala dinner by having some legendary entertainers to MC. It’s bound to be a brilliant night full of laughs with Jono and Ben up on the stage,” says Towncentre Taupo General Manager, Julie McLeod.

The Spark Stella Awards have been put together by Towncentre Taupo in partnership with the Taupo District Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The awards are designed to upskill frontline teams and improve the level of customer experience across the Great Lake Taupo district. Training has been provided to entrants through a series of workshops and participants have been ‘mystery shopped’ in order to help determine finalists and ultimately, winners.

Finalists will be announced this Friday (July 29th) and tickets to the awards evening will go on sale to the public on Monday August 1st. More information is available at www.stellaawards.co.nz
