No need to fret – come and get wet! White water rafting? Sure it may not be the natural choice for a winter’s day – but, really in rocks! When we outfit our clients for winter rafting - we really “rug them up”. Woolen Sox’s – Neoprene Boots – Wetsuit – Two super thick fleece tops – Jacket – Beanie and Gloves complete the outfit – no you won’t be able to touch your toes, but yes – you will stay warm while you challenge the rapids.

No need to fret – come and get wet! White water rafting?

During winter we only head out once a day – at 12 noon when the sun has melted the frost and the air temperature is pleasant.

We spend two hours on the water – the trips are great fun and energize the soul. Back at base heated changing rooms and hot showers a wait. Visit the shop afterwards and enjoy the roaring log fire while supping on your ice cold beer. It is the perfect way to complete your winter rafting excursion.

All rafting clients during winter receive complimentary vouchers to the Tokaanu hot pools located five minutes from our base.

So there you have it – winter rafting – the best winter adventure.
