More than 800 horses will take part in the Fiber Fresh Taupo Christmas Classic Show Jumping event at
the National Equestrian Centre, Rapids Rd, Aratiatia, Taupo, from 13th – 16th December.

The three-star rated competition caters for everyone from grass roots level through to the country’s
best World Cup riders, including Olympians’ Katie McVean, Sam McIntosh and Daniel Meech.
The show begins at 9am on Thursday with four competition rings in action.

No Christmas show would be complete without Santa who will arrive on Friday afternoon at 4.30pm,
just prior to the very exciting – and competitive – Barbara Thomson Photography Pony Six-Bar.

Saturday’s feature classes include: the Great Lake Challenge, Cushionride 7 Year Old Series, JLT Insurance
Pony Grand Prix and the Cathay Pacific 1 Star Grand Prix and culminates with the Fiber Fresh Taupo
Grand Prix, incorporating both Bomac World Cup and Super League competition (approx 4.30pm).

The National Show Jumping Derby Championship is held on Sunday 16th December.
Riders will travel from around the country to take part as well a number of local riders will compete.
