Under their Music Director, Robert Aburn, the New Zealand Male Choir is an auditioned choir of members from throughout New Zealand.  They give their time and commitment voluntarily for the joy of singing.

The choir aspires to a standard of excellence in practice and performance.  The attainment and maintenance of quality and reputation aims to delight audiences and attract suitable new members. 

The choir represents New Zealand in a professional manner both nationally and internationally.   Participation in two international Eisteddfods in Llangollen brought the choir high praise and a recent tour to Europe in 2010 included recitals in Windsor (St George’s Chapel), Paris (Notre Dame and La Madeleine) and Salzburg and Vienna Cathedrals. 

Nationally the choir aims to present at least four concerts each year in provincial and metropolitan New Zealand and the 2012 programme includes Waimate, New Plymouth, Wanganui, TAUPO and Christchurch.
