Dreaming of being the next Torvil or Dean? Training for the next Winter Olympics? Well you no longer have to fly off to the northern hemisphere in search of a place to practice – you can do it while overlooking Great Lake Taupo. 

After a huge summer success, the 35m x 15m Chateau Tongariro Hotel Ice Rink is back again in Great Lake Taupo for the Easter holidays.

Hailing from Holland, this ice rink was where the American and Canadian International Ice Hockey Teams battled it out middle this year at several venues in New Zealand.

Opening hours

We're open from 9am til 11pm every day. There are no set session times so just come along to the rink skate any time.
