Poronui is a perfect destination for conference groups or individuals on reward/incentive programmes.

Situated on 16,000 acres of mixed farmland, forestry and wilderness, Poronui lends itself to a range of outdoor pursuits. Its reputation for providing world class trout fishing and deer stalking is well established. Recently developed activities such as mountain biking, hiking, heli hiking, heli biking, horse riding, and a comprehensive sporting clays range, and archery are also extremely popular. While appearing a world away from the bustle of everyday life, Poronui is only 30 minutes from Taupo by car, or 20 minutes from Hawke’s Bay by helicopter. A landing strip on Poronui is approved for commercial twin aircraft, enabling organisers to fly clients from any part of the country.

Accommodation for up to 22 guests on a share twin basis is available. This is provided by the main lodge facility which can accommodate 14 guests in 7 spacious units. These units come with en suite bathroom and high speed internet/telephone connection. In addition the Blake House accommodates 8 guests in 4 double rooms with ensuites.

For conference groups, a main meeting area and break out rooms are available in a stand alone facility that is completely separate from the main lodge. Privacy and a quiet working environment are assured.

Poronui boasts one of New Zealand’s finest underground cellars, featuring an extensive collection of award winning local and international wines. It also has sauna and steam rooms, massage treatment rooms and a substantial covered BBQ area.
