The line-up features the hard-driving, powerful rock and blues of George Thorogood & The Destroyers, the multi-talented singer-songwriter-musician Alanis Morissette, along with the unmistakable voice from one of Australia's most popular bands Colin Hay of Men At Work fame.

George Thorogood & The Destroyers' 20 albums, 14 of which have spent a massive 150 weeks in the New Zealand charts, have sold over 15 million copies worldwide.

Alanis Morissette last performed on New Zealand soil back in 1998.
Her 1995 debut album, Jagged Little Pill, featuring hit songs You Oughta Know, Hand In My Pocket and Ironic, peaked at number 1 on the New Zealand charts, and ranks at number 33 in the top 1000 bestselling albums of all time in New Zealand.
Hit singles Hands Clean, Thank U and Ironic have also reached No. 1, 2 & 3 respectively on the New Zealand singles charts.
Alanis has sold over 60 million albums worldwide and was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2015. She has achieved 7 Grammy Award wins, along with Rolling Stone magazine having ranked her Jagged Little Pill album on its Women in Rock – The 50 Essential Albums list. As frontman, guitarist and principle songwriter for the 1980s hit machine Men at Work, Colin Hay is responsible for some of the most identifiable sounds in pop music, including hit songs Down Under, Be Good Johnny and Who Can It Be Now.
Business As Usual spent an incredible 75 weeks in the New Zealand charts, ranking in the top 100 bestselling albums of all time in New Zealand. In 1982, Men at Work won a Grammy Award for Best New Artist. Men at Work’s second album, Cargo, also peaked at number 1 on the New Zealand album charts in 1983.
Since moving to Los Angeles in 1989, he’s made 13 solo albums and toured solidly and successfully to a broad American, UK and Australasian fan base.

Taupo Summer Concert is an annual international outdoor concert featuring some of the greatest bands from the 1970’s, 1980’s and 1990's.
With a backdrop of Lake Taupo and the Waikato River, the Taupo Amphitheatre provides a spectacular setting for up to 15,000 people to experience to let their hair down and rock out at this family-friendly event.

Taupo Summer Concert 2016 saw three of rock’s supreme heavy weight artists, Huey Lewis and the News, REO Speedwagon and Melissa Etheridge, deliver an unmissable day at the Taupo Amphitheatre.
Taupo Summer Concert 2015 was a resounding hit with 2013 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Heart, classic rock legends Foreigner and Grammy-nominated Three Dog Night.
Taupo Summer Concert 2014 featured classic rock legends Lynyrd Skynyrd, Starship featuring Mickey Thomas (of Jefferson Starship fame) and iconic British group 10cc.
Taupo Summer Concert 2013 was headlined by Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, Bachman & Turner and America.
The inaugural Taupo Summer Concert 2012 was a resounding success with international rock bands Doobie Brothers and Little River Band, New Zealand singer-songwriter Annah Mac and all of those in the Taupo music scene.
