Enjoy a jet boat ride on the Waikato River. Slide past sheer cliffs with just centimetres to spare and then race to the base of the Huka Falls or the famous Fuljames Rapids. Take a jetboating adventure with a difference, to a hidden hot water stream, where you disembark, swim through the narrow crevices and discover the hot water waterfall beyond! Then retreat back to your Taupo lodge to relax after your adrenaline-filled day.
Walk on the Wild Side
One of the best and shortest walks in the region is the five minute walk to the magnificent Huka Falls. Other fantastic walks nearby include Kinloch to Kawakawa, Spa Park to Huka Falls or the Aratiatia Dam. For a little more adventure head to the southern end of the lake and experience the spectacular scenery and the many walks available in the World Heritage listed Tongariro National Park before heading back to your Taupo resort.
